Kathy made contact with MHB’s seeking permission to use Fast Eddie Clarke’s comments about working with Curtis Knight’s Zeus, with whom he was lead guitarist pre-Motorhead, and recorded the recently released ‘The Second Coming’ CD. Eddie still stood by his comments, which were published in the ‘Motorhead’ Babylon book in 1981, so Kathy was granted permission. Eddie also gave additional interview material which helped colour that part of Curtis’ life for the book.

As a Jimi Hendrix fan I have read quite a few biographies and books about his recorded work over the past 44 years, and Kathy’s book here adds even more to the mystique surrounding not only Jimi, but Curtis as well.

As a great believer in fate and destiny, if Jimi and Curtis’ paths hadn’t crossed then Jimi would not have been playing at the club Chas Chandler found him in to bring him to London to achieve fame and fortune he found there.

If you enjoy a great rock-read, then Kathy’s book does not disappoint.
